Celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day with JCPenney as we recognize women who inspire our team and courageously lead the way for others to achieve their greatest aspirations.
Women Founder-Led Brands Talk Entrepreneurship and Success
Join Jo Osborne, senior executive, and merchandise manager, and Destiny Villarreal, divisional merchandise manager, beauty, in virtual fireside chats with the women behind some of JCPenney’s most modern beauty brands.
In this series, you’ll learn more about women who let their pride, passion and presence define them as they successfully navigated and broke the bias of the male-dominated venture capital (VC) landscape. In fact, Beauty Inc. reported female founders raised $4.3 billion in 686 deals in 2020 — only 2.9% of the total VC raised that year, according to Pitchbook. Tune in every Tuesday in March to hear their stories on jcp.com/live at 12 p.m. CST.

International Women’s Day Step Up Town Hall – Break the Bias
On March 8, JCPenney’s longtime nonprofit partner Step Up will host a Town Hall to put this year’s national theme, ‘Break the Bias,’ into action. Associates from JCPenney and other Step Up corporate partners will have the chance to hear from thought leaders, connect with members of Step Up’s community and gain new tools to help create a world where all women have an equal opportunity to pursue their dreams.
Beyond Women’s History Month, JCPenney is committed to help close the opportunity gap by providing year-round support to nonprofit partners like Step Up and Black Girls Smile, as well as through career-readiness ‘Suit Up’ events and mentorship sessions. We can’t wait to share this month’s exciting lineup of programming with our JCPenney Beauty partners, nonprofit partners, associates, customers and suppliers.
