Marketing campaign showcases newly updated pant and jean selection
Finding “the one” pair of pants or jeans can be tough.
There’s straight leg, bootcut, skinny, wide leg, boyfriend, flare, not to mention low rise, high waist, distressed and more. How does one find that pair of go-to pants?
JCPenney has recently updated its pant and jean assortment with a range of new styles and fits, just in time for post-holiday shopping. With holiday gift cards in hand, shoppers can visit JCPenney and discover 50 different fits in our “Find the One” pant and jean event.
A witty play on today’s online dating sites, the new campaign gives each pant/jean style a personality profile, allowing customers to select his or her perfect mate – and all at affordable prices.
The campaign, which will live online and be supported by direct email, social media and more, will be supported by a “buy one, get one free” offer on pants and jeans on private brands such as Worthington, Arizona, a.n.a., Liz Claiborne, and St. John’s Bay as well as a “buy one, get one 50 percent off” on key national brands such as Levi’s™ and Lee™.
So, why are we highlighting our various pant fits? Research shows that once a customer finds a specific pant fit they love, their brand loyalty increases tremendously and they will continue to revisit the same retailer to purchase their specific pant style that fits them best.
We are also adding an additional incentive for our JCPenney Rewards customers. From Dec. 29-30, they can earn $10 in JCPenney Rewards when the spend $50 or more on any pair of pants.
Customers can find their perfect matches in stores and on jcp.com from December 29 – January 1.
