JCPenney has been named one of the best places to work for women and diverse managers by Diversity MBA Media in its 15th annual ‘50 Out Front: Best Places to Work’ list of companies that have made progress in achieving outstanding inclusion and diversity.
JCPenney ranks 39th alongside the likes of Texas Instruments, L’Oréal USA, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, all of which were ranked based on how they’re investing in international strategies to advance women and managers of people of color and create a sustainable culture of belonging and inclusion.

Seventy-five Company leaders enrolled in the McKinsey & Company Black Leadership Academy programs while more than 100 associates signed up for our internal ‘Be the Change Leadership Program.’ Participants in both programs engage in small-group coaching, online courses, and immersive exercises that enhance leadership, innovation, communication, and management skills. Opportunities like these are instrumental to building a pipeline of diverse leaders at JCPenney through focused career building and mentoring. JCPenney is eager to expand this partnership with McKinsey & Company later this year.
