JCPenney District Manager Credits Hispanic Heritage and Family for Positive Approach to Work

This Hispanic Heritage Month at JCPenney, we are spotlighting some of our incredible Hispanic associates in the areas of work, home, and the community. To kick off the series, we’re featuring District Manager Nicolas Arreola on the topic of family at work, or familia en el trabajo.

Nic has been a JCPenney associate for more than 27 years and now oversees our stores in New Mexico and West Texas. He credits his large family, including eight siblings and immigrant parents, for teaching him how to bring his best self to work each day and remain focused on the things in his control, like having a great work ethic and attitude.

JCPenney is honored to recognize the culture, heritage, and contributions of our nearly 18,000 Hispanic associates, as well as our millions of Hispanic customers.  We are proud of our history of supporting the Hispanic community. One of the ways we’re showing support is through our HEAT (Hispanic Educational and Awareness Team) business resource team, a group of diverse JCPenney associates whose goal is to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work and shopping environment for Latinx associates and allies.

Please join us in celebrating our Hispanic communities during Hispanic Heritage Month and throughout the year.
