Free Sephora inside JCPenney mini makeover and prom hair style salon consultation highlight the event’s head-to-toe offerings
Prom shopping season has arrived. From the dress and accessories to the hairstyle, makeup and corsage, every detail is planned thoughtfully.
As one of the only retailers that offers a full head-to-toe beauty and fashion solution, we’ll showcase our head-to-toe prom offerings with our first-ever “Get Prepped for Prom” event this Saturday, March 17.
In 490 locations nationwide, the first 40 customers to arrive at our designated prom display can shop the store with a special prom booklet, with directives and discounts at various areas of the store for prom beauty, accessories and apparel.
The first 40 participants will also receive a prom emergency beauty kit filled with everything from double-sided tape and safety pins, to beauty products like a mini hairspray from our salon or a fragrance sample from Sephora inside JCPenney.
All customers are encouraged to cross-shop the store by booking beauty appointments with both JCPenney salon and Sephora inside JCPenney teams. Upon the purchase of a JCPenney prom dress, customers can receive either a free custom prom mini makeover or $20 off a prom hairstyle of $50 or more through May 25.
Only in-stores on March 17, all prom dresses and select shoes, handbags, fashion jewelry, strapless bras and shapewear will be half-off list price. JCPenney Rewards members also receive double rewards points on any prom dress purchase.
Riverdale & YMCA Teen Experience
Along with our “Get Prepped for Prom” event, we built up excitement for the prom season by partnering with Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes, stars of the hit teen CW series “Riverdale.”
Real teens from the Y were invited to participate in a prom photo shoot, where Reinhart and Mendes surprised them, serving as the shoot’s creative directors and stylists.
Each Y teen who participated in the shoot received a $500 JCPenney gift card and a salon and Sephora inside JCPenney swag bag full of beauty needs for prom. Images from the photoshoot are featured in a JCPenney print ad in this month’s issue of Seventeen magazine.
