Earlier this year, we opened toy shops inside all JCPenney stores. The new toy shops are strategically adjacent to the Disney Collection shops and we have been extremely pleased by customer response.
As we headed into the key holiday shopping season, we confidently made the decision to expand our in-store toy assortment by 40 percent, cementing JCPenney as a leading shopping destination for the best toys and must-have brands for kids of all ages.
Not only did customers respond positively to our new toy shops, they also told us they wanted bigger toys with more variety. We listened, and along with our expanded assortment in stores, JCPenney.com now boasts four times more toys than last holiday season including new items such as motorized ride-on vehicles, bicycles, scooters, sporting goods, outdoor trampolines, costumes, electronic learning toys, arts and crafts, swing sets, video games and more.
