The Christmas season is quickly approaching, and JCPenney is gearing up for the busiest shopping period of the year by increasing staff for the holiday rush. The Company is hiring over 39,000 seasonal associates nationwide across stores, supply chain and customer care centers to fill a variety of positions.
To bolster our in-store hiring efforts, we’re bringing back our most successful recruiting event ever – National Hiring Day – for the second year in a row. The event will take place in each of our over 860 stores on Oct. 16 from 2-8 p.m. local time. Management will be holding in-person interviews and making employment offers to qualified candidates on-the-spot.
What’s more, JCPenney is introducing generous reward packages to eight randomly-drawn associates as a way to attract and retain associates this holiday season. Available awards include the choice of $5,000 trips to Banff, Alberta, Canada; New York City; or Miami – all three of which include paid lodging, airfare and entertainment – or prize packages worth $5,000, each with a different theme, including smart home, outdoor, technology and glamor bundles. All hourly associates and seasonal associates in stores, supply chain and call centers that remain with the Company through Dec. 29, 2018 are eligible to win.
We’ll be seeking associates for a variety of customer service and support positions, including cashier, replenishment specialist, Sephora inside JCPenney beauty consultant and more.
