Today, nearly 50 percent of all jcpenney.com traffic comes from a mobile device, and we’ve converted 20 percent more browsers into buyers since the redesign of our app. What’s more, our app users make three times as many trips to our store and purchase 3.5 times more than non-app customers.
Just in time for the key back-to-school shopping season, we’ve added exciting new features to our app. A new digital wallet feature allows users to scan and store their gift cards, coupons, JCPenney Rewards and more, all in one place. Users can even make a payment on their JCPenney credit card within the app.
Additionally, customers who are using the JCPenney app in stores are now able to conduct a simple price check by scanning an item’s barcode directly from their smartphone. These new additions build on an array of innovative features available on our app, such as our Snap2Shop visual search feature, which lets you take a photo of any object to find the exact or similar item on jcpenney.com.
We’re also giving our JCPenney Rewards members an additional incentive to download the JCPenney app. This summer, from July 16-Aug.31, members that download the JCPenney app for the first time will receive a $10 reward to use towards their next JCPenney purchase!
Through our app we’re making shopping more convenient, while driving sales and building deeper relationships with our customers. Customers can download the JCPenney app at the app store on iTunes or Google Play.
What’s more, customers shopping jcpenney.com can now enjoy free shipping to any JCPenney store with no minimum threshold, making back-to-school shopping this season easier than ever.
