Rihanna surprised fans inside JCPenney to celebrate Fenty Beauty anniversary

Earlier this month, singer turned entrepreneur Rihanna surprised fans attending the one-year anniversary celebration of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna inside the new JCPenney store at Brooklyn’s Kings Plaza. Rihanna revealed her surprise visit to her 64.7 million Instagram followers just minutes before her appearance and was greeted by hundreds of fans outside the store, along with 150 Sephora Beauty Insiders attending the exclusive anniversary event and launch of Fenty Beauty’s new Diamond Collection.

When Rihanna arrived at the store, fans screamed as she cascaded down the escalator in a bright fuchsia ruffled gown. The star greeted guests, took selfies and mingled with the crowd. Her makeup, done by Fenty Beauty global makeup artist Priscilla Ono, matched the gown perfectly with magenta lips and bright pink cheeks.

Over the summer, JCPenney hosted a Fenty Beauty sweepstakes contest and three grand prize winners were selected to attend the exclusive celebration at the JCPenney store in King’s Plaza. Winners received a trip for two to New York City, including airfare and hotel accommodations, along with the entire Fenty Beauty makeup collection and a pair of diamond earrings from the JCPenney fine jewelry department. And, surprise – an exclusive meet-and-greet with Rihanna herself!

As if meeting Rihanna wasn’t enough, the event featured samples of Fenty Beauty’s new Diamond Collection, mini makeovers and an oversized Fenty Kabuki brush chair and Diamond Bomb mirror to take the perfect Instagram picture. Each guest also left with a complimentary Fenty Beauty swag bag.
