JCPenney Provides 40 Percent Discount & Apparel Items for One Cent to Customers Affected by Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey Relief

Our hearts go out to all those affected by Hurricane Harvey. As relief efforts transition from rescue to recovery, we’re extending a special 40 percent discount to assist our friends and neighbors with their home and apparel recovery needs. The discount is available for a limited time beginning tomorrow, Sept. 2, in the JCPenney stores that were directly impacted by the storm, and will be automatically applied during checkout.

Additionally, as families look to replace their children’s back-to-school clothing items, these same stores will feature specially marked “Penney Racks,” offering end of season merchandise for just a penny. Customers may purchase up to two children’s apparel items for one cent each.

Approximately 23 JCPenney stores were affected by the storm. Nearly all locations have been re-opened, most with limited hours. The following stores will be providing the 40 percent discount and “Penney Racks”:

How Can You Help?

From now through Dec. 15, we will be inviting our customers across the country to round-up their purchases, both in-store and online at jcp.com, to the nearest whole dollar and donate the difference to the JCPenney Foundation. The JCPenney Foundation will be donating a portion of the funds raised to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

We invite you to join us in our support by donating to the American Red Cross – any amount will make a huge difference in helping our communities, customers and associates through this difficult time.
